-New for 2011, join our second season CSA pogram offering 150 full shares. We'll have more fruit and vegetables available to pick this year and some herbs as well, for our CSA members.
New plantings- more strawberries, blueberries and peaches grown in field tunnels for July harvest. More variety of lettuce and greens will be available as well!
We invite you to visit our stand to view our fresh fruits and vegetables and enjoy our wide variety of homemade ice cream. Come visit our bakery with pies, loafs and Farmer Jim’s sweet corn pizza. Be sure to check us out during our primetime...it is a short season in New England, and you don’t want to miss out!
May -In our 3 greenhouses, lots of proven winners, geraniums, annuals,perrenials,herbs. Over 700 hanging baskets for Mother's day.Large selection of heirloom tomatoes and vegetable plants.
As June arrives and summer approaches, the farm stand market opens with our own greens (lettuce, spinach, scallions, and radishes) and of course our own strawberries. We also carry local eggs, cheese, bread, honey and other fruits & vegetables. Enjoy pies, cookies & breads baked fresh from our bakery. Our five acres of U-Pick strawberries starts in early June and is open every day. $2.50 lb. 1 qt.minimum purchase per person
During the month of July, sweet corn starts! 12 different varieties are grown over our more than 17 acres and harvested through early October. Tomatoes & peaches also start mid-July. We grow many types of fresh salad greens & lettuce and offer a fresh supply all summer. Remember: “picked fresh tastes best”! New this year- one acre of PYO summer raspberries begins.
August is vegetable month in Massachusetts with a bountiful supply of corn, tomatoes, lettuce, squash, beans, peppers, eggplant, peaches, and field-grown fresh flower bunches & herbs. Two acres of PYO fall raspberries begins.
As summer comes to an end and September nears, this is truly the best month for our homegrown produce. The long days of summer and cool fall nights produce our sweetest corn (delectable & cameo) & “celebrity” tomatoes as well as many heirloom & cherry tomatoes. Carrots, beets, broccoli, beans, winter squash and lettuce truly taste the best this month. Not to mention U-Pick raspberries daily picking. Fall decorations: get your home decorated with our corn stalks, Indian corn, gourds & pumpkins and our famous field grown mums - over 2000 grown on the farm.
October brings pumpkins galore! Over 50 tons of pumpkins, all shapes and sizes.. Weekend hayrides for $3.00 per person, bring the family and enjoy the fall foliage. Apples, cider, pies & produce at the stand daily 9am-6pm.
November - don’t forget to order your Thanksgiving pies early! We bake to order for pickup days before the holiday. Our season comes to an end in December with Christmas trees, wreaths & roping.
